He was born May 18, 1958, in St. Joseph, son of Martha and Ronald Frederick. He graduated from Benton High School class of 1976. He served in the United States Navy. he worked as a Lieutenant at the Correctional Center in Rifle Colorado for over 20 years. He was an avid hunter and gun collector and also enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a Christian.
Leslie was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Frederick; a son, Leslie Fay Frederick, Jr.; a sister, Lisa Frederick; paternal grandparents, Vena and Fay Frederick; and maternal grandparents, Ada and Frank Odonnell.
Survivors include his mother, Martha Wilson; daughter, Melani Frederick, of St. Joseph; four sisters, Glenda Cline and Lori Frederick, both of St. Joseph, Kay Ulmer, of Michigan City, Ind., and Jerri Fischer, of Agency, Mo.; an aunt and uncle, and three grandchildren, Destiny, Zander, and Coltin.
Funeral services will be conducted by 2 p.m. today, at Rupp funeral Home. The inurnment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
