Barbara Bates, age 62, of Campbellsburg, died Sunday, March 20, 2005 at Baptist Hospital Northeast, LaGrange. She was a member of Port Royal Baptist Church and daughter of the late Warren and Lucy Kent Jones.
She is survived by two daughters: Vickie Stivers, Shelbyville; and Mrs. Jeff (Carla) Conrad, Lawrenceburg; one son, Franklin Keith Bates, Turners Station; companion of many years, Junior Brewer, and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Bates, and infant daugher, Lisa Marie Bates.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, March 23) at 1 p.m. at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Carl Rucker, pastor of Port Royal Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Port Royal Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy DeLong, Dustin Stivers, Bill DeLong, Jeff Conrad, Shiloh Brewer, and Bill Adams.
