MANTACHIE - Anthony Maurice "Tony" Pettigrew, 46, died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at the North Mississippi Medical Center as the result of an automobile accident. A Lee County native, he was born Feb. 1, 1959, to the late Charles and Dera Bacon Pettigrew. He was an employee of Krueger International and a member of the Richmond Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed reading, computers and Christian witnessing.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Sammy Raper, the Rev. John McAlister and the Rev. John "Ben" Raper officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery south of Plantersville.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Patsy Sullivan Pettigrew of Mantachie; three sons, Stephen Pettigrew, Jacob Pettigrew and Benjamin Pettigrew, all of Mantachie; a sister, Karen Peters and husband, Donald, of Plantersville; two brothers, Steve Pettigrew of Brewer and Sammy Pettigrew of Plantersville; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Richey Hester, Shawn Hester, Derek Peters, Daniel Peters, Dan Raper and Ronnie Hester.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
