Mark A., died on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff. He was 79.

Born in Jersey City he was a resident of Bergenfield before moving to Wyckoff in 1997. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth's Church in Wyckoff. His wife Lois died in 2000. Survivors include his daughter Cara Smith and her husband Vincent; a granddaughter Rebecca Smith, a grandson Christopher Smith and two sisters: Frances Aragona and Joann Cerelli.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff (www.vpfh.com). A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Elizabeth's Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in Paramus. In lieu of flowers contributions in Mark's memory may be made to the Valley Hospice Services, 15 Essex Rd., Suite 3, Paramus, NJ 07652.
