Memorial service for Carolyn D. Freeland age 63, of Frederick will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2016, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Mrs. Freeland passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016, in a Lawton hospital.
Carolyn Deray (Hankins) Freeland was born September 23, 1953, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Otis Gordon and Juanita Absabeth (Griggs) Hankins. She attended Weaver Consolidated #13 School and later transferred to Davidson Public School. On May 3, 1974, she and Dennis Freeland were united in marriage in Vernon, Texas. Carolyn worked as a seamstress for Centra Leather Goods for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and loved gardening. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Freeland of the home; one daughter, Cher Jones and her husband Jeff of Frederick, Oklahoma; one son, Blake Freeland and his wife Kim of Holcomb, Kansas; two brothers, Calving Hankins of Frederick, Oklahoma and Bill Hankins and his wife Leslie of Elizabeth, Colorado; four grandchildren, Autumn and Gage Jones; and Aden and Kierian Freeland; and host of Cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Richard Hankins.
