Douglas was born in Guyton to the late James Edward & Alma Elizabeth Cowart Hinely. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and the Georgia Air National Guard, achieving the rank of Master Sargent. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newnan, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his granddaughters.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that remembrances be made to his Air National Guard Unit, [email protected] or to wreathsacrossamerica.org.
