Arthur Beckham Stewart, 74, of the Buffalo Community died Thursday, August 21, at 8:40 a.m. at Jennie Stuart Hospital.
He had been in declining health for a number of years.
A native of Trigg County, Mr. Stewart was born November 18, 1900, son of David C and Pearl Towler Stewart. He was married to Pearl Rogers, November 4, 1926, who survives.
He was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church, a retired farmer and operator of a country store in Buffalo community for 40 years and had driven a school bus.

Funeral services were conducted at Goodwin Funeral Home Saturday, August 23, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Hal Shipley officiating. Song services were by Mrs. Don Guinn and Mrs. Robert Dunnagan with Mrs. Carl Hendricks at the organ.
Burial was in Trigg Memory Acres.
Survivors include his widow, Pearl Rogers Stewart; one daughter, Mrs. Monroe MeGee, Trigg County; one sister, Mrs. Irma Stewart Bagby, Cerulean; three grandchildren and three great-granchildren.
One son, James Ray Stewart, died June 14, 1974.

Pallbearers were Darwin Stewart, Anthony McGee, Mike Stewart, Robert Dunnagan, Mark Steart and Edgar Bagby Jr.
