Carol Ann "Cari" Deimerly, the daughter of James and Mabel L. (Hanson) Deimerly, was born May 12, 1943, in Clarion, Iowa. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1960. Carol attended college in Minnesota, Fort Dodge (ICCC) and Des Moines (Grandview). Carol collected Rose O'Neill "Kewpies" for over 20 years and was a member of the Rose O'Neill International Kewpie Club and editor of the Iowa Kewpie Kernal Journal. She also enjoyed photography, art, knitting and creating greeting cards.

Carol passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Bright Kavanagh House, in Des Moines at the age of 71 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Shane Christenson. Carol is survived by her brother, James Deimerly (Jill Knutson) of Jewell, sisters, Janice Eamer (Larry) of Des Moines, Jane Solis (Geno) of Eagle Grove and Joyce Deimerly of Goldfield; 14 nieces and nephews; 28 great nieces and nephews and 4 great great nephews. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 17, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove with Father Jerry Blake, celebrating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.
