His parents were Paul and Carlotta Barry. Paul graduated from The University of Nebraska pharmacy school in 1953. He belonged to Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and Rho Chi Professional Fraternity. He served in the US Army with overseas duty in Europe in a combat dispensary for Special Forces. Paul met and married the love of his life, Ann Weaver, and they spent nearly sixty years together before Ann's death March 2, 2015. Paul and Ann moved to Texas in 1957 when Paul accepted a job offer from Skillern Drug Company. His career as a pharmacist spanned 42 years with the last 32 years at Albertson's. He was a mentor to many. Paul and Ann raised three children together in Dallas, Texas. Paul and Ann were founding members of St. Rita Catholic Church in Dallas. They moved to Sun City, Texas in 2003. The club is a tight knit group and Paul loved his friends and the camaraderie there. Paul and Ann were world travelers. They travelled all over the globe. Paul loved animals, his coffee, and reading the newspaper front to back. Paul was a devout Catholic and an advocate for the Catholic faith. He was a quiet man who always put others first.
