Roy W. Klein, 88, of Forks Township, passed away on Sunday, April 23 in Easton Hospital. He and his wife, the former Ruth Mengel, were married for 63 years.
Born November 29, 1917 in Clear Lake, Minnesota, he was a son of the late John W. and Ida M. (Powell) Klein.
A dairy farmer his whole life, he co-owned Klein Farms, Forks Township, for 71 years. Roy was a founder and charter member of Faith Lutheran Church, Sullivan Trail, Forks Township, where he served numerous terms as congregational president. He was a member of the Northampton County Chapter of the National Farmers Association. Roy attended schools in Brandon and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and later attended Easton High School.
Survivors: Along with his wife, he is survived by two sons, two daughters, & two brothers. He was predeceased by a brother, Leslie John, and a sister, Geneva Gove.
Services: will be held at noon Thursday in the church, 2012 Sullivan Trail, Easton, Forks Township, 18040. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday in the church.
Interment will follow in Forks Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
