Jack Barnes, 90, of Clearwater, SC, beloved husband of sixty-nine years to Mrs. Sara Nelson Barnes, entered into rest on Monday, December 12, 2016, in the comfort of his home, under the care of Regency Hospice.
Born in Richmond County, GA and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life, he was a son of the late Albert "Sonny" and Mary Garwood Barnes.
He retired as Postmaster from the Gloverville Post Office. Mr. Barnes was a member of the APW Union and enjoyed vacationing, especially yearly trips to Myrtle Beach and train rides.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Lib Kyzer and her husband, Ronnie, Clearwater, SC, Nancy Berei and her husband, Joe, Dania Beach, FL, the late Dianne Barnes Glenn and the late John N. Barnes, grandchildren, Chris Glenn, Mandy Morris, Todd Barnes, Kim Young and Stephen Kyzer and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
