RICHARD ALLEN STUDER
Richard Allen Studer, age 57, of Shelbina, MO, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016, at his home.
Richard was born on February 10, 1959, the son of Merrel C. and Fern E. (Miller) Studer. On July 19, 1980, he was united in marriage to Linda Rae Hart, in St. Louis, MO. She survives.
Richard was survived by his three children, Lindsay Smith and husband Jason of Fenton, MO, Michael Studer and wife Lannie of Provencal, LA, and Lauren Studer of Shelbina, MO; his mother, Fern E. Studer; three sisters, Carol Ann Corey and husband Albert, Cindy Jones and husband Bill, and Mary O'Brien and husband Curtis; one brother, David Studer and wife Robin; father-in-laws, Frank Hart and wife Barbara, and Donald Jensen; sister-in-law, Judi Hustermann; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merrel C. Studer, and mother-in-law, Ernestine Jensen.
Richard worked as a farmer his whole life. He loved farming and his cattle. Richard and his wife, Linda, were owners of the Mississippi Marketplace in Hannibal, MO. He enjoyed interacting with people in the community during his morning coffee and his regular carpentry projects. Tinkering on the farm and traveling were some of Richard's favorite hobbies. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his children, family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Shelbina Cemetery following the funeral service. Memorials may be made to Neighbors Helping Neighbors and the Prairie 4-H.
