A native of Clearfield, he was born Dec. 7, 1940, a son of the late Robert and Wava (Williams) Mignot. He was married to the former Judy Bailey and his death breaks a union of 30 years.
Carl was a 1958 graduate of Clearfield High School. He then served four years in the Air Force.
A sheet metal mechanic, he was employed for 14 years by AM Specialties of South Williamsport, and prior to that by RD Goss in Clearfield.
Carl was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Mifflinburg.
He enjoyed singing, fishing, flying kites, was always working Suduko and crossword puzzles. He loved his children, grandchildren, his dogs, the Steelers and Penn State football. He was a devoted Christian and was always smiling and being helpful to others. He and his wife were carriers for the Daily Item for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Rosemarie Mignot, of Clearfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Dale Criswell, of Mifflinburg; five grandchildren, Matthew Mignot, Curtis Mignot, Aaron Criswell, Emily Criswell and Sarah Criswell; one brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Jeanie Mignot, of Clearfield; two sisters, Erma Heitsenrepher, of Clearfield and Shirley Houser, of Mifflinburg, and a number of nieces.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10 to noon Saturday at Assembly of God Church, Mifflinburg, followed by the funeral at noon, with his pastor, the Rev. Johnnie Blake officiating.
Burial will be in Dreisbach Church Cemetery.
