Mrs. Doris Lillian Bethea, 92, died Friday (Feb. 16, 2001) at her residence after an extended illness. She is a native of Ruskin but has lived most of her life in Waycross. She worked as a cook in the lunchroom for the Ware County School System. She was also a member of Central Baptist Church.
Her parents were William Wesley Taylor and Sarah Strickland Taylor Danford. She is the wife of the late David Virgil Bethea.
She is survived by her two daughters, Marilyn Bennett and Margaret Betts of Waycross; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday (Feb. 19, 2001) at Greenlawn Cemetery.
