David Andrew Hartley, 59, formerly of 1300 S. Pinckney St., died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006 at White Oak Manor in Spartanburg.
Born May 22, 1947, he was the son of the late Minor and Irene Friendly Hartley. Mr. Hartley was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are: a daughter, Missy Eckert and husband William of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, Joseph Scott Hartley and wife Lisa, Eric Wayne Harley and wife Stacy, of Union and Troy Andrew Hartley of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Grady Hartley.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006 at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Guy A. Langston. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Chester. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Active pallbearers will be Ken Maloy, William Eckert, Steve Patterson, Ron Kirby, Robbie Jones and Joseph McKain.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund, 763 Neal Shoals Road, Union, S.C. 29379.
The family is at the home of his son and daughter-inlaw, Eric and Stacy Hartley, 716 Arthur Blvd., Union.
The Lewis Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
