Philomena Raab, 94, R.R.3, Batesville, Ind., died Sunday afternoon, March 4, 1990 in the Christ Hospital, Cincinnati.

She was born Sept. 25, 1895 in Morris, Ind., the daughter of Roman and Johanna Doll Grossman. She was married to Clem Raab in April of 1928 in the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Morris, Ind., and he preceded her in death Sept. 5, 1947. She was a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church and of the St. Ann's Ladies Society of the church.

She is survived by three sons, Clarence Raab, Cincinnati, Joseph Raab, Milan, Ind., and Paul Raab, Batesville, Ind.; one brother, Joseph Grossman, Batesville, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. August (Pauline) Eckstein, Cincinnati; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ottilia Beyersdoerfer and Mary Weisenbach and three brothers, Otto, Alfred, and Andrew Grossman.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Morris, Ind., with the Rev. Bernard Schmitz officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville, Ind., from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

A rosary will be prayed at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Any memorials may be given to the Lifeline Program of the Margaret Mary Community Hospital, Batesville, Ind., or for masses.
