Born in England, he came to the United States in 1914. Raymond lived in Windsor and Wethersfield before moving to Glastonbury 30 years ago.
After his retirement as a tool designer, he became an antique clock expert and enjoyed refurbishing and repairing old clocks.
He was an avid piano player and a gentle man who was loved by his family and friends.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Victor Senger of South Windsor; two sisters, Millicent Ryder of Cheshire, Grace Horne of New London; two granddaughters, Ruth Senger Bombara of Manchester, Jenifer Senger Gossett of South Windsor, and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Riverside Cemetery, Windsor.
