She was born in Landrum, SC, to the late John and Lela Turner Campbell.
She was a high school graduate of Jordan High in Landrum, SC, and completed a finishing course in bookkeeping at Balls Creek Consolidated School in Catawba, NC. She was an active and longstanding member of Bessemer City Church of God where she taught Sunday school for many years. Her labor of love for the Ladies' Ministry was exemplary. She was the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and she was known for her precious smile and her unselfish, wonderful way and her humble spirit. Her love for her husband and children was priceless.
She is survived by her daughter Betty-Jean Puckett Bumgardner and husband Robert, daughter Patricia Puckett Scates and husband Philip, daughter Lovetta Puckett Woodward and husband Dean, son Sam Puckett and wife Evelyn all of Bessemer City; daughter Edith Puckett Jenkins and husband Gary of Concord, son Rev. Riley Puckett and wife Marie of High Point; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister Celestine Robertson of Landrum, SC; sister-in-law Maggie Campbell of Landrum; special niece Gladys Holland of Bessemer City; special friend Ethel Mack of Bessemer City.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 42 years, Ernest Puckett; grandchild Dana Puckett; brothers, Woodrow, Glenn, Cue, Arlie, Toy, Byrd, Allen, Irma; sisters, Ethel Farmer, Onie Coley and Vivian Campbell
