His death cert says he was about 91 years old, meaning whoever gave that info had no clue how old he really was and they were guessing. The 1850 census says he was 1 year old in 1850. His marriage cert to second wife puts him being born in 1848 or 49. Absolutely no documents show the month or day of his birth. His family was living in Cherokee, NC in 1850. I have changed this info on Family Search to reflect info per documents. I don't do too much in Find A Grave anymore because of wrong info and too many egos but I do try to send corrections when I find accurate info in FS in my ancestry with documentation to back it up.
