Edwin J. Clarke, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 8, 2016. He was born in Columbus, OH on July 28, 1933 to the late John and Catherine (Bighouse) Clarke. Ed was a proud alumni of Aquinas High School where he played football and basketball. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ed went on to work in real estate and mortgage lending for many years. After retirement Ed spent his time tinkering around the house and watching his beloved Buckeyes. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Diana (Zahnow); children, Debi (Steve) Staab, Cathy (Rick) Biancone, and Eddie (Michele) Clarke; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Margaret Tippett, Ursula Riat, Florence Gutches, and John Clarke. The family will receive friends 5-8pm Monday December 12, 2016 at the Schoedinger North Chapel 5554 Karl Rd. Columbus, OH 43229. A Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday December 13, 2016 at St. Matthias Catholic Church 1582 Ferris Rd. Columbus at 10:00 am. Father Raymond LaRussa Celebrant. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
