Carol Ann Carr (nee Meister), a longtime resident of Laurel, passed away on Friday December 9, 2016 at Laurel Regional Hospital. She was 74.

She was born on June 13, 1942 to the late Edward and Katherine Meister in Cumberland. She graduated from Laurel High School and received a Bachelor's degree from University of Maryland. She worked as a teacher and later as a teacher's aide at Spring Hill Lake and James Harrison Elementary Schools with children having special needs.

Carol was also a very active member at First Baptist Church in Laurel. She was very proud of her faith. She was involved in the Linus ministry making quilts for people in need, home study, and Sunday school.

Carol was survived by her beloved husband of 52 years Billy Joe Carr; loving children William Carr (Tamara), Andrew Carr (Ranae), Tony Carr (Julie), Sarah Sincuir (Odilio) , and Christopher Carr (Lisa); siblings Nancy Crowne (Frank), Charles Meister (Sue), Richard Meister (Karen) , Jimmy Meister, and the late John, Eddie, and David. She is cherished by 9 grandchildren, Hailey, Zachary, Allison, Justin, Nick, Taylor, Jeremy, Lauren, and Matthew.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Laurel Legacy Fund, 15000 First Baptist Lane, Laurel, MD 20707.
