She was a Chumash neophyte born at Mission Santa Bárbara where she assumed her Christian name Rita upon her baptism the day she was born (SB Baptism 03304). She was the infant daughter of Chumash neophytes "Amalachuít" (Venancio) and "Silmayoguo" (María Ana). She lived only nine days and was buried in the mission cemetery on June 27, 1804 (SB Death 01104).
