Friend and former Marine. Young and Brave. Even though Ronnie and I were from the same town, I did not meet Ronnie until both of us were home on leave in 1966. Ronnie left for Vietnam about 6 months before I did. Never knew Ronnie was KIA until I returned. I lost a true friend and Marine Comrade. I have never forgot this person and to this day I visit his grave and we still talk. Such a tragedy and waste of a very good person. Donald Page, 5604 Bloomery road, Wilson NC 27896, [email protected].
He served with Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd MAF.
He was awarded The Combat Action Ribbon(CAR), The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and the National Defense Service Medal.
