Services for Mrs. Bernice Adley Stanfield, 79, Columbia, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 24, 1992 at Riser and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Columbia with Rev. W. R. Lowe, Rev. Tom Lowe, and Rev. Richard French officiating. Burial was in Mulhearn's Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Inc. of Columbia.

Mrs. Stanfield died Wednesday, April 22, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after a brief illness.

Mrs. Stanfield was a member of Christ Church in West Monroe and was preceded in death by her husband, Amos D. Stanfield; her sons, James W. Stanfield and Perry Howard Stanfield; her daughter, Kathryn Carolyn Stanfield; and her grandson, Perry Howard Stanfield, Jr.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Verley Carr of Columbia, and Janey and C. J. Underwood of Choudrant; daughters-in-law, Delores Stanfield of Bastrop and Ruth Stanfield Sawson of Monroe; granddaughters, Shera A. Redding, Cindy L. Smith, Farra D. Shaw, Marie Guillory, Misty Stanfield, Wendy Stanfield and Lisa Carter; grandsons, Cee Jay Underwood, James Schley Stanfield, Randall Steve Lawson, Verley Schley Carr, Jr., and James Howard Stanfield; 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Marvin Stanfield, Lester Baker, Albert Baker, Roy Tullos, Roy Saucer and Jerry Saucer.
