Son of Christopher Crary and Mary Polly Witter, pioneer settlers of Kirtland, Ohio. Christopher Gore Crary had three wives: (1) Aurelia Morse, (2) Nancy M. Davis and (3) Charlotte S. Ranney, and he fathered six children. With the help of his sister, Nancy [Crary] Whelpley, Christopher wrote a book of remembrances, providing a valuable record of life in the Western Reserve.
