Per funeral home records, Mary was originally buried in Masonic Cemetery, San Francisco, later part of Laurel Hill Cemetery. When Laurel Hill was closed in about 1939, her body was removed to Cypress Lawn Cemetery where it was buried in the "mound" behind the main building. Most bodies from Laurel Hill were buried there.

The Daily Examiner, San Francisco, California, Sunday, April 22, 1883, page 7:

"ROBINSON - In this city, at noon of April 21, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Monroe Salisbury, Mary Crittenden, widow of Judge Tod Robinson, a native of Kentucky, aged 68 years, 8 months and 28 days. (Kentucky, Alabama, and Washington D. C. papers please copy.)

Funeral private."

Mary was the oldest child of Thomas Turpin Crittenden, Sr. and Mary Wilson Parker. She married Tod Robinson, son of Tod Robinson and Martha Terry of Autauga County, Alabama, on March 26, 1842 in Galveston, Texas.

Tod was an attorney and with the discovery of gold in California, decided to take his family to Sacramento and San Francisco California. Mary's brother, Alexander Parker Crittenden, was also an attorney and moved his family to California as well.

Tod ran for the California State Supreme Court as a member of the Whig party. He lost and returned to his private practice.

Tod died suddenly in Crystal Springs, San Mateo County, California in 1870. He was buried in the Masonic Cemetery in San Francisco. It is possible that she was buried there as well. All remains were moved from this cemetery to Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Colma, San Mateo County, California in the 1940s. Most were buried in the Laurel Hill mound, including Tod's remains. Records do not show Mary there. Where she was buried (or cremated) is not known for sure.

Tod and Mary were the parents of at least 8 children:

Mary Howard Robinson

Tod G. Robinson

Cornelius Preston Robinson

Kate Crittenden Robinson (Mrs. Monroe Salisbury)

T. Crittenden Robinson

Anne Wyatt Robinson

William Eli Robinson
