Daughter of the late William and Janice Ruth Castelloe Cowan, she was survived by her sisters, Shirley C. Smith (Rusty), Sylvia C. Collins (Clyde) and Christie C. Mizell; brothers, Archie Cowan (Jane) and William "Bud" Cowan (Teresa); and an extended family of relatives and friends. She was a member of Cashie Baptist Church. Her funeral was held on December 9. 2016.
