We were friends and lived in same community. He was a Fellow Soldier and Friend. He and I grew up in the Salem, NC area. He was a few years behind me in school. I knew him and his family. I was out of service when he lost his life. It was a great loss to all who knew him. He was a fine person. I will always remember him as a great soldier and the price he paid serving our country.
