Beatrice Mason Gray, 93, a teacher at Chevy Chase Elementary School in Montgomery County from 1941 to 1968, died of congestive heart failure Jan. 19 at a retirement community in Fort Collins, Colo. She lived in Washington off and on from 1919 to 1987.
Mrs. Gray was a native of Ludington, Mich., and a graduate of the University of Michigan. She did graduate work in education at George Washington University.
In the early 1920s, Mrs. Gray taught at a high school in Rockville.
She was a member of Pi Beta Phi social sororiety, Delta Kappa Gamma educational honorary society and Cleveland Park Congregational United Church of Christ.
Her husband, Ulysses S. Gray, died in 1978.
Survivors include two sons, William M. Gray of Fort Collins and Patrick Thomas Gray of San Diego; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
