SWAN LAKE - Zella Margaret Christensen Toler Casper, 84, long-time area resident, died Tuesday, July 20, 1993, in Preston.

She was born Nov. 3, 1908 in Cambridge (Downey), a daughter of Edwin and Rosetta Crump Tillotson. She grew up and was raised by Rasmus and Nancy Melvina Bennett Christensen in Cambridge. She cleaned homes for several years, and married John Tyree Toler May 24, 1934, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. He died in 1958. She later married Ervin Casper June 7, 1961, in Pocatello. He died in 1978.

She had lived in Robin on a farm until Mr. Toler's death, later living in Pocatello, Idaho Falls and Rigby. The past 12 years she had resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Fay Merrill, in Swan Lake. She was an active member of the LDS Church.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, John Darwin and Linda Toler of Pocatello, and Marvin Acil and Janet Toler of Portland, Oregon; one daughter and husband, Mrs. Lynn (Fay) Merrill, of Swan Lake; 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Golden Christensen, of Downey. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, at noon in the Swan Lake LDS Ward Chapel, Bishop Kent R. Hadley officiating. Friends may call at the Marsh Valley Funeral Home this evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday at the church in Swan Lake for one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Robin Cemetery.
