Funeral services for Mrs. E. H. Denman, 72, of Rt. 3, Grapeland, were held Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m. in the Grapeland Church of Christ, with James Mosley officiating. Burial was in the Guiceland Cemetery, Salmon. Arrangements were by Hassell and Foster.

Mrs. Denman, the former Miss Emma B. Lively, was born in Houston County on Jan. 13, 1896, and was a daughter of the late Jim Lively and Mrs. Lottie Walton Lively. She had spent her entire life in Houston County, and was a member of the Midway Church of Christ. She died Monday, Aug. 12, 1968, at 9:15 p.m. in a Palestine nursing home following a long illness.

Survivors include the husband, E. H. (Hubbard) Denman of Grapeland; two sons, O. T. Denman of Monticello, Ark., and Boyd Denman of Athens; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Sue) Bedford of Grapeland, and Mrs. Harold (Ruth)Hogan of Huntsville; step-mother, Mrs. Ada Lively of Crockett; two brothers and two sisters, Guy Lively of Oklahoma and Jim Tom Lively of San Antonio, Mrs. Mahlon Wright of Grapeland and Mrs. Preston Gilmore of Crockett; three half-brothers, Roy, Troy and Talmadge Lively, all of El Campo; a half-sister, Effie; two stepbrothers, Henry Brooks of Crockett and Tolar Brooks; seven grand children; several nieces and nephews.
