George L. Roop, 42, Peru resident and World War veteran, passed away at the United States Veterans' hospital in Dayton, Ohio, at 8 o'clock Sunday morning following an illness several months. He resided here with his family at 413 Madison street.
Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Inez Roop, three children: Georgia, Betty, and Richard, all at h ome; and two brothers: Martin and Harrison Roop, both of Peru.
The body was returned to the Drake funeal home here with final funeral arrangements to be announced later.
