Christopher Columbus Deegin was born in April of 1835 based on the 1900 Census. In 1860, he married Martha Leslie, the daughter of John Leslie & Jane Hogan. The couple had one daughter named Jane who was born about 1860 and died between 1880-1896. In 1900, Christopher and Martha lived in Bear Creek, Lawrence County, Kentucky and sometime between 1900-1907, Martha passed away. By 1907, Christopher remarried Maggie Ball, the a daughter of George & Louise Ball. He died shortly after 1910 and possibly before the state of Kentucky started keeping death records in 1911 since there are no records available for his death. Mattie died in 1914.
