Phyllis Orlene Caverly was born on August 14, 1926, in Mt. Morris, MI to the late Hector and Margaret (Killinger) Caverly. On May 20, 1944, she married Elmer Thomas Goodrich. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2002. Phyllis was active in the local Secret Pal club, a 4-H Leader, member of Farm Bureau, and founding member of the Lachine Saddle Club.
Surviving are her 3 children, William (Mary) Goodrich, Merry Lee Butz, Ruth Bygden; 6 grandchildren, George (Dawn) Goodrich, Brenda Goodrich, Mandi (Jesse) Klien, Justin (Sarah) Banham, Courtney (Derek) Krentz, John (Jamaican) Bygden; 6 great grandchildren, Avery, Trueman, Lorelei, Marissa, Emmett, Rob; sister, Margaret Ann Barrie; sisters-in-law, Minerva Caverly and Mary Caverly.
Mrs. Goodrich was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Emily Marie; son-in-law, Donald Butz, Jr.; 4 brothers, Mearl (Lee) Caverly, Richard Caverly, Clarence (Hector) Caverly, and Elwin Caverly.
Mrs. Goodrich is at the Bannan Funeral Home where visitation will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Elder Kendell Sumerix officiating.
