A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Cicero and Ada Watson Aiken. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Winford Adkins who died in 2011; three sisters, Nancy Shepherd, Gertie Aiken and Anita Aiken; four brothers, Clarence, Colie, Lawrence and Emanuel Aiken. Lillie was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church and she had a love for gardening and canning.
Lillie is survived by one son, Richard Adkins, and his wife, Libby, of Leicester; two grandchildren, Jason Adkins, and his wife, Lori, of Holly Springs, NC and Aaron Adkins, and his wife, Abby, of Leicester; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverends Allen Rash, Tim Moody and Davis Plemmons officiating.
