Eldon B. Alderson, 88, of Franklin, Ky. died on Friday, March 18 at his residence.
The Simpson County, Ky. native was the son of the late Reeder Alderson and Zettie Mae Henson Alderson. He was a farmer and a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the State Line Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Alderson and Edward Lee Alderson, as well as his stepmother, Agnes Alderson.
He is survived by: his wife, Virginia Austin Reeder Alderson of Franklin, Ky.; daughters, Yvonne (Paul) Hood of Allen County, Ky. and Patricia (Lonnie) Meador of Adolphus, Ky.; son, Rick (Peggy) Alderson of Shelbyville, Ky.; sisters, Jean (Lloyd) Barber of Allen County, Ky. and Linda Alderson of Louisiana; brother, Jerry (Pat) Alderson of Franklin, Ky.; grandchildren, Chad Adams, Melissa and Cary Calvert, Kevin and Nikki Hood, Derek and Jonie Meador, Brandy Jo and John Paul Cates, Brian Meador and Cory and Megan Meador; great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Madie Calvert, Kristen Adams, Catie Hood, Cassie, Isaac, Macy and Jake Meador, Blake Henson, and Hunter Meador; three step-great-grandchildren, Josh, Jake and Olivia Cates; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 21 at Crafton Funeral Home in Franklin, Ky. with Bro. Lonnie Meador and Bro. Randy Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in the Buck Allen Crossroads Cemetery in Allen County, Ky.
