William Otterbein Doll, 61 years, 4 months, 17 days, lifelong resident of Jackson township, departed this life, Sunday midnight, April 23, 1922, at his home near Cromer School, three miles north of Amsden.

Three years ago, Mr. Doll suffered an attack of influenza and since that time has been in very poor health. His heart had been affected and was the cause of his death after a short illness of one hour.

He attended church Sunday as was his usual custom and appeared to be feeling quite well.

He was the son of John and Margaret (Sprout) Doll. On November 6th, 1890, he was united in marriage to Alice Eugenia Hudson in Tiffin, and to this union were born two children, Otterbein Wilbur Doll, who lives across the road from the paternal home and Mrs. Everett (Ola May) Nederhouser, both of Jackson township. His wife & children survive.

He is also survived by one brother, Ralph P. Doll, of Helena, OH; two sisters, Mrs. John (Nancy) Bower of Risingsun, OH, and Mrs. Ed. A. (Emma Lenore) Shuman of Fostoria, OH, and one grandson, Floyd E. Doll. He was a kind and loving father.

In his early manhood he was converted in a meeting held at Burgoon, under the preaching of Rev. Mathers and lived a life devoted to his Master until he passed to the Great Beyond. He was a member of the Canaan U. B. Church.

The funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Amsden M. E. church, Rev. J. W. Williams will conduct services with interment in Liberty Center Cemetery, near Kansas, OH.
