Robert Long, 79, retired farmer, died at his home in New Castle, Tuesday. He moved to New Castle three years ago from Chestnut Grove, in Shelby County. He was born in Owen County.
Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Joe Carter, Turners Station and one son: Victor Long, New Castle.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at the New Castle Baptist Church, with Rev. O. W. Stiles officiating, assisted by Rev. Ernest P. Russell. Burial was in the Shelbyville Cemetery.
