Adeline Edith Fimon was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Jordan Township, Fillmore County to Joseph and Minnie Fimon. She attended Maple Lane Country School through the eighth grade.
On Oct. 26, 1935, she married Albert Lange at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Stewartville.
In October 1948, they moved to the Spring Valley area from Racine. They farmed all their lives in the Spring Valley area. She joined First English Lutheran Church on Nov. 22, 1952.
Survivors include two sons, A. Larry (Emily) and Randy (Renae), both of Spring Valley; a daughter, Eilene (Ray) Merkel of Spring Valley; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille Helgeson of Stewartville, Elaine (Harrison) Alink of Grand Meadow and Jeanette (Milford) July of Spring Valley; and three brothers, Rodney Fimon of Austin, Lester (Violet) Fimon of Spring Valley and Donald (Norma) Fimon of Rochester.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988, a son, a granddaughter, a great-grandson and a sister.
The funeral for Adeline E. Lange was Feb. 24 in the First English Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, with the Rev. Loel Wessel officiating. Burial was in Spring Valley Cemetery.
Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley was in charge of arrangements.
