Mrs. Anna F. Petersen, 81, formerly of Rocky Grove, died at 4:26 am Sunday in Venango Manor where she lived the past few months. She was born in Warren, PA, June 6, 1902, daughter of August and Hattie Malloy Look.
During World War II, she worked in the machine shop of Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. in Franklin. She later worked as a cook at Franklin Hospital, the Business Women's Club, and the Exchange Hotel. She was a member of Grave United Methodist Church, Rocky Grove, the Ladies Auxiliary of Francis B. Pritchard Post, 464, Oil City, the Tri-County Navy Mothers Club and Venango County AARP, and a charter member of the Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
She married John P. Petersen Nov. 7 1923.
Surviving are a son, John A. Petersen of Rocky Grove; four daughters, Mrs. Donald G. (Mary Ellen) Karns of Franklin, Mrs. Eleanor Peterson and Mrs. Richard G. (Evelyn) Peebles of Titusville, and Mrs. Joan Palmer of Tucson, AZ; her former husband of Tucson; 26 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 Wednesday with Rev. Gregory V. Hall, pastor of Fox Street Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
