Milford Killham, 82, of Grand Island died peacefully, with his family around him, Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, at Golden Living Center, Lakeview, in Grand Island.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island, with the Rev. Cathryn Love officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Milford Killham was born Aug. 18, 1934, in Columbus, the son of Elmer and Lula (Kinzer) Killham. He grew up and received his education form Central City High School, graduating with the class of 1954.
He was united in marriage to Charlene Rae Parker on April 28, 1957, in Grand Island. The couple made their home in Grand Island where he was an employee of the City of Grand Island in the Street Department. Charlene preceded him in death on Feb. 13, 1979.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Platt Duetsche.
Milford enjoyed watching sports, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He also enjoyed playing cards, camping and dancing. In his younger years, he played town team baseball.
Those left to cherish his memory include a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Brian Hinkson of Grand Island; a son and daughter-in-law, Doug D. and Amy Killham of Lincoln; four grandchildren, Justin Knox, Brock Hinkson, Maggie Killham and Jake Killham; a brother and sister-in-law, Alford and Carol Killham of Grand Island; and a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Louis Hilligas of Grand Island.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Charlene; four brothers; and four sisters.
