Ft Calhoun - George Matteson died at the home of his sister, Mrs Hoosack, here, and the remains were taken to Blair Wednesday for interment beside his wife, who died about three years ago. Mr Matteson was a resident of this city for many years. He was born in New York state in 1841 and served in Co E 7th In practically all through the civil war. He came to this state in 1867. Four sons and four daughters survive him.
