He worked as a moulder, a teacher, a bookkeeper, and later was a cashier at the First National Bank in Elkader.

He m2 Alice Howard on 19 Oct 1905; four daughters
He m3 Mrs. Kathryn Patterson Beamer on 14 Aug 1919; they divorced before he died.

Arthur Carpenter Dead

Arthur Carpenter, of Corydon, died suddenly Monday morning and his body was brought to the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Schori here Tuesday from where the funeral was held the following afternoon. Burial was made in Elkader.

Mr. Carpenter is the father of Mrs. C.B. Schori. Four other daughters, Gertrude, Ruth, Loraine, and Mary Carpenter also survive. He is well known over this section as he formerly lived at Elkader and Fayette.
