Additional information provided by Find A Grave contributor, Faye Fuqua (47722722): His Social Security Applications and Claims Index information has birth date of Aug. 22, 1918 (same as his headstone) and has his parents as I linked (and parents are linked correctly). However, his mother passed in January 1918. His WWII draft registration birth date was Aug. 22, 1917. I'm betting he was actually born in 1917. His father's second wife was Frances Jones (maiden); her married name was Niter.
