HOMER, LA: Funeral services will be held for Barbara Jean Taylor Booth, 85, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 405 E. 5th St., Homer, LA on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Thurman and Rev. Brian Thomas, officiating. Interment will follow at the Homer Arlington Cemetery.

Mrs. Booth was born July 13, 1931 in Mangham, Louisiana to J.C. and Elizabeth Laird Taylor. She entered into rest on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in El Dorado, Arkansas following a brief illness. Mrs. Booth was a longtime self-employed hairdresser before retiring to Lake Claiborne near Homer, Louisiana. She and her husband, Perry, affectionately known as "Junior", were longtime, faithful members of the First Baptist Church in Homer. To be near their children, they moved back to El Dorado and were attending East Main Baptist Church.

Mrs. Booth was preceded in death by her parents; as well as 6 older sisters and brothers, Ada Robertson, Ruth Odom, Estelle Phillips, Laird Taylor, W.A. Taylor and Jesse Claud Taylor.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Perry Booth, Jr.; one daughter, Donna Elizabeth Pumphrey and her husband, Richard of El Dorado; one son, Larry Booth and his wife, Annette of El Dorado; two granddaughters, Amanda Booth Clemons and husband, Ray and Melissa Jo Pumphrey Cary and husband, Jeremy; four great-grandchildren, Victoria and Kendall Dykes and Taylor and Audrey Cary; special nephew, Jerry Hawkins, very special friend, Bettye Thurmon Raley; and their beloved puppy, "Precious".

Pallbearers will be Russell Langley, Gurvis Vines, Joey White, Ronnie Anderson, Harold Raley and Jerry Hawkins.

For friends considering memorials honoring Mrs. Booth, her family suggests donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
