Carl Alvin Pentecost, son of Eli B. and Vesta M. Karr Pentecost, was born September 12, 1936 at Koshkonong, Missouri. He departed this life November 24, 2016 at his home near Lebanon, Missouri at the age of 80 years, two months, twelve days.

On August 28, 1963 he was united in marriage to Vicki F. Buzzard. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Vicki in 2006, one sister, Evelyn, one brother, Jimmy and by his son in law, Derwin Springer.

He is survived by three daughters, Vonda Wallace and her husband, Brian, Lebanon, MO; Veronica Busse and her husband Brian Jr. ,Lebanon, MO and Valorie Springer, Jefferson City, MO. One brother, Charles Elvis Pentecost, Crocker, MO. Four grandchildren, Amanda, Brian III, Ben and Elizabeth .Also a number of other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Carl grew up in the Swedeborg , Missouri area. He began work at an early age and established a very strong work ethic from the very beginning of his life. He moved to Springfield where he and Vicki continued their married life and started his career with Ozark Hardwoods. He continued his career in the timber business when they moved to Marionville, where he began his own logging company. He enjoyed taking care of his farm in Marionville where he raised cattle and enjoyed being outdoors. He especially enjoyed coon hunting and was a proud member of the Lawrence County Coon Hunters Association . Carl and Vicki later moved to Richland, MO where he continued his logging company. In each community they lived out their faith and were members of Buck Praire Baptist Church, Richland First Baptist Church and most recently Hillcrest Baptist Church. He and Vicki were always active in their children’s school activities and every facet of their children’s lives.

They were well respected in each community where they lived and always built their lives around God, their church and their family.

Carl was stedfast in his convictions and his faith was always central in his life. He was a quiet man who had a tender heart. He always was willing to help anyone in need.

Carl’s legacy will live on in his family for generations and we celebrate his life with all his family, neighbors and many friends.
