John made his home in Ohio Co KY and married twice.

His first wife was Sarah Jane Bingham married May 6 1859 in Butler Co KY,after Sarah's death he remarried Lurissa Cole on July 9 1860 in Butler Co KY.

John & Lurissa had Eliza J,Mary E,Vilena B,Malissa F,Sarah O and Lurissa E Kinkade.

John & Lurissa took in David Owen the son of his sister Mary Kinkade Owen after her untimely death.
