He married Sheila Lynn Steed from Providence, Utah in March of 1973. Together they had three children. They made their home in Preston, Weston and Logan. They were later divorced but remained friends. He was employed at Wurlitzer Piano in Logan and Weathershield in Nibley until they moved their business out of the area. He then went to Icon and worked until he sustained an injury. After several surgeries, he became unable to return to work. He has been living in Pocatello, Idaho for several years.
He is survived by his three children, Tammy Lee Jensen of Pocatello, Idaho; Jeremy Ray Wheeler of St. Anthony, Idaho; Ruben H. Wheeler and Tylee Pugmire of Idaho Falls, Idaho; by two sisters, Edna (Bill) Sparrow of Rexburg, Idaho; Faye Lynn (Mark) Owen of Preston, Idaho; by a sister-in-law, Nancy Wheeler of American Falls, Idaho; and by five grandchildren, Austin, Autumn, Andrew, Jasmine Faith and Jessica. He was preceded in death by Shiela, by his parents and by a brother, Brent H. Wheeler.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho with Bishop Jim Summers conducting. Friends may call Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Dayton, Idaho Cemetery.
