BARBARA ELLEN CALDWELL, 60, of Spencer, West Virginia died Sunday, November 20, 2016 at her home after an extended illness.
She was born September 16, 1956 in Roane County, West Virginia a daughter of Faye Goodwin O’Dell of Walton, West Virginia and the late Patrick O’Dell. She worked at Kellwood Company and Roane Veneer and was a member of the Otto Advent Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening and farming, especially raising chickens and ducks.
In addition to her mother, Barbara is survived by her husband, Kenneth M. Caldwell; one daughter, Misty Engle and her husband, Joshua of Gandeeville, West Virginia; two sons, Kenneth Michael “Mike” Caldwell, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Statesville, North Carolina and Tim Caldwell and his fiancé, Latasha Doyan of Looneyville, West Virginia; two sisters, Ann Young and Joanne Greathouse, both of Looneyville; seven brothers, Larry O’Dell of Clover, West Virginia, Gary O’Dell of Spencer, and Randy, Roger, Greg, Mike and Eddie O’Dell, all of Walton; and six grandchildren. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard O’Dell.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer with Pastor David Young officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
