Wesley J. Temple, 61, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 6:55 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. He was born January 28, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Henry and Thelma (Huskey) Temple. He had worked as a steelworker with Feralloy Steel in Granite City. He loved to dance and be outdoors. He was always ready to host a party with friends and family, loved watching baseball, throwing washers and playing cards. He is survived by two daughters, Angie Temple of St. Louis, Missouri and Tiffany Temple of Edwardsville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Angel, Alyssa and Hayden; two great grandchildren, Brantley and Bentlee; a sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Ronnie Stilwell of Arnold, Missouri, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Donna Temple of Labadie, Missouri and Henry "Butch" and Cindy Temple of House Springs, Missouri; sister-in-law, Karen Temple of Wentzville, Missouri; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tedrick Temple. In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Illinois on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Clint Wisdom officiating. Graveside services will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Temple family and may be accepted at the funeral home.
